Slamstox B.V. ("Westbound", "we", "us") takes the privacy of its participants seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data submitted through this website and during the application process, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Sports background and motivation
• Parent or guardian contact details (required for applicants under 18)

We do not collect sensitive data beyond what is necessary for the placement process.

• To assess and process your application
• To match you with a suitable host family and high school
• To communicate program details, timelines, and updates
• To comply with legal obligations (visa support, insurance coordination)

4. Legal Basis

We process your data on the basis of:

• Contract performance, to carry out the services you have engaged us for
• Legitimate interest, to respond to enquiries and manage the application process
• Legal obligation, where required by law

5. Minors

Westbound serves participants aged 14–18. For applicants under 16, we require verifiable parental or guardian consent before processing personal data. Parents and guardians may request access to or deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us at jord@slamstox.com.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third parties strictly necessary to deliver the program:

• Host families and partner high schools in the United States
• Local coordinators in the relevant US region
• Immigration and visa support services

All third parties are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for any other purpose.

7. Data Retention

We retain application data for up to 3 years after the end of the program year. If your application is unsuccessful, your data is deleted within 12 months unless you request otherwise.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you (and your parent/guardian if under 16) have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl
